French Passenger Tax

Effective from the 1st of March 2025, private jet passengers departing from France will be subject to an increased departure tax. The rates of this tax depend on the type of aircraft and the distance being flown.

Who is affected? All private jet departures from France.

How much is the tax? The rate ranges from €210 to €2,100 per passenger, depending on the type of aircraft and route taken.

Who has to pay? The aircraft operators collect the tax and embed it into the cost of your charter.

What is the VAT impact? Domestic flights within Europe also incur a 10% Tax on top of the passenger tax.

Are there any exemptions? Children under the age of two are exempt.

Flights within Europe

  • Turboprop Aircraft: €210 per passenger

  • Jet Aircraft: €420 per passenger

  • +10% VAT for domestic flights

Italian Luxury Tax

All private and business flights that arrive and depart from Italian Airports are subject to the Italian Luxury Tax. The amount per passenger depends on the distance travelled and is charged per flight.

How much is the tax?

  • Less than 100km - €10 per passenger

  • 100-1500km - €100 per passenger

  • More than 1500km - €200 per passenger

Who has to pay?

The aircraft operator collect the tax and embed the cost into the price of your charter.

Are there any exemptions?

  • Italian state aircraft

  • Rescue aircraft and helicopters

Mid-range International Flights (up to 5,500km)

  • Turboprop Aircraft: €675 per passenger

  • Jet Aircraft: €1,015 per passenger

Long-haul International Flights (beyond 5,500km)

  • Turboprop Aircraft: €1,025 per passenger

  • Jet Aircraft: €2,100 per passenger
